Printing Problem:

Intermittently, when a Word or Adobe Acrobat doc is sent to either the
network HP4000N or HP5000N printers, the bottom 2" of text is not printed.
The docs are any where from 2 -200 pages in length, the problem has happened
to different people within the section, and no message pops up notifying the
user that there is a problem. The docs affected have been simple text docs
and large doc with text and tables. In some instances, one Word doc had
numerous "Sections"(word formatting sections) and only one of the Sections
manifested the problem. We will print the affected doc one day and without
making changes to it, will print it the next day on the same printer without
any problem.

Techs have updated printer drivers and re-installed Word but the problem
always returns.

Thankyou

ApFox,

Are you using the PCL printer driver? We had various problems with the PCL driver on our 4000 LaserJets. The problems went away when we switched to the Postscript driver.

PS is especially good for PDF docs, or complex docs in general.

Post back if this does not solve the problem.

Points appreciated if this helps.
