I am impressed by the compression and quality of the US Patent Office CCITT G4 image database.

In particular a typical line drawing document is of high quality with a full page image size of about 30 Kbytes. A full page of text is about twice that size.

What is the performance of Miraplacid Publisher when the output is CCITT G4?

Can anyone comment on the quality and size of the resulting image pages?

unlike JPEG, CCITT G4 does not have quality/size settings, so TIFF images generated from different software should be identical.

There are mutiple algorithms for color quantiztion (from 24 bits to B/W), scaling and some other unrelated image processing procedures. If different software tools use different algorithms, results might vary.
