Hello Topler,

Due to size and licensing restrictions the full LJ3100 driver is not available for download. You can download updates and patches from here:

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?prodNum=C3948A&prodName=hp+LaserJet+3100+all-in-one&locale=en_US&taskId=135&prodSeriesId=24352&prodTypeId=18972

Or you can reorder the CD:

Hi Worris,

I've already gone there. I don't really need firmware and installer. I'm looking for the driver. The only other option is to purchase the CD?

Hi Topler,

The only way to get the full driver/software set is via the CD. It is not available for download from HP due to licensing and size restrictions.

I found the drivers you need on the web but I have not yet
used it. It has all windows 98, nt, 2000, and xp. Good Luck :).

Thanx

I think these are the updates, and not the actual drivers, but you can find the password on the last line of this link:

I have used these drivers for XP. The trick is to use the add printer
in XP and instead just use the install.exe to install the printer. I had
been looking for a while and finally found a solution that works for me.

pass word is :download.faf.net

my experience is that it is not really a printer driver, but a software application that runs the printing machine.

since it is not simply a driver, the application copyright makes broad distribution undesireable to the author (HP).

But I have had it work with various opperating systems--except XP Pro 64-bit. (that is why I was here).

Now, has anyone generated a real "driver" and inf file to make it behave as a printer instead of a software-driven stand-alone machine?

The password to unzip the archives is 'download.faf.net'.
