Hi there,

I have just upgraded to MTD 2009 TS Edition and when I try and print I continue to receive a "Sorry, you are not allowed to print to this printer" message.

I am connected to a VMWare virtual guest running Windows 2003 SP2 and am using Remote Desktop to access the guest.

Has anyone experienced this before?

Thanks,

c0utta

This is because your username was not included into a list of allowed users in LicenseManager.
Please, open this software and include your user into a list of allowed users.

I have installed mtdte as the network administrator and added the user via LicenseManager. I'm assuming this is the correct approach.

Then I connect via Remote Desktop as the user, try and print from Notepad and receive "Sorry, you are not allowed to print to this printer".

Cheers,

It looks like your Remote Desktop still does not run under your user.
Please, set logging on with Administrator software (see documentation), try to print a job and send a log file to out support service.

Via Remote desktop I was logging on using DOMAIN\Username, but the Administrator software added username to the allowed list. It looks like MTDTE is case sensitive when comparing the allowed user to the current logged on user.

I think this is a bug - correct?

Thank you for this information.

Probably, this is a bug. It could be better if you will send us a log file.
But, anyways, we fixed this and uploaded a new package to the site:

Package

We hope, the problem will be eliminated.

Hi All,

We have almost the same problem

We have just upgraded to MTD 2010 TS Edition. and when printing directly from server text file created. we using tegs "{{JOB}} {{DATE(dd-MMM-yy)}} {{TIME(HH-mm-ss)}}.txt"

But when we try to print from local network user we see that print job is running but file do not created.

Has anyone experienced this before?

Thanks,
